Richard R. "Rick" Cole

Richard R. "Rick" Cole, 65, of Frankton, passed away on May 11, 2023, at the Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis. He was born on August 11, 1957, in Anderson, the son of Russell and Carolyn (Fuller) Cole. Rick was a 1975 graduate of Anderson High School. He also graduated from Ivy Tech College with honors. He was in the cable industry for over 40 years and worked for Cisco Systems for 30 years. Rick was a loving and incredible husband, father, and friend. He cherished his family and friends. He and his beloved wife, Teresa, met at the age of 14. They began a lifelong journey at adolescence. In 1982, they married and built a beautiful life together. Rick and Teresa traveled, worked, and met many friends. Rick and Teresa owned and operated Optical Communications, Inc. Rick and Teresa were blessed with their loving son, Corey. As a family, they had great times traveling and fishing on Lake Erie. Rick was an amazing cook. He was fond of grilling and smoking meats. Rick was a professional Walleye fisherman. Rick also sold boats for Denny's Marina. He and his family would also take joy in houseboat trips in Minnesota on the Canadian border. He was a true outdoorsman and avid hunter. Rick adored fishing with Corey and teaching him everything he knew. Rick and Corey were fond of drinking craft beers and were season ticket holders to Indy Fuel hockey games. Rick and Teresa have many unforgettable memories with each other and their friends. These two were husband and wife, but also best friends. Rick and Teresa will be reunited in Heaven. He was preceded in death by his parents and his beloved canine companion, "Jake". Rick is survived by his wife of 42 years, Teresa Cole; his son, Corey Cole; his siblings, Judy Fuller (Steve), Zionsville, Vickie Williams (Douglas), Clarksville, IN, Carol Gerard (John), West Chester, OH, and David Cole (Laurie), Indianapolis; numerous nieces and nephews; and his faithful dog, "Maggie". Visitation will be on Friday, May 19, 2023, from 4:00-8:00 P.M. at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd Street, Anderson. Funeral services will be on Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 11:30 A.M. at the funeral home with Pastor John Pflum officiating. Visitation will also be from 11:00-11:30 A.M. on Saturday.
