Marvella C. Kimm

Marvella C. Kimm was born February 16, 1929, and passed away October 9, 2024, surrounded by family at Middletown Nursing and Rehab in Middletown, IN. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Mildred Cue; two husbands, Floyd Runyon and Robert Kimm; and son-in-law, Greg McCrory. She leaves behind four children, Charles (Linda) Runyon, Claudia McCrory, Carmen (Rodney) Beard, all from TX, and Kyle Motsinger, fondly known by her family and friends as Tudy; and former son-in-law, Jeff Motsinger; eight grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. She worked at Delco Remy for 30 years, working her way up to foreman, and returning to the floor before retiring. She moved to Texas in 1987, where she sold real estate, and looked back on her years there fondly. She was an active member of Whetstone Church of God, White Shrine, Eastern Star, and Amaranth lodges. She enjoyed singing. Singing on the radio as a child, and in her church choir as an adult, purchasing bells to liven up the hymns. She loved playing cards, and would play with anyone, just don't expect to win. She enjoyed cooking. Her grandchildren remember her baking them cakes for their birthdays and fudge and candies during the holidays. She rarely showed up to an event without some kind dish or banana bread that she'd baked earlier in the day. As much as she loved her family and friends, her third love would have to be coffee. She could drink three full pots on a slow day and always black. She enjoyed crafting and knitting, making baby booties for each new addition to the family. She was always very well dressed in matching sets, and enjoyed taking care of her hair, and getting her nails done regularly. She will be remembered as a loving mother and grandmother, a loyal friend, a fearsome card competitor, and a faithful member of her community by the many lives she touched throughout her years on earth. Robert Loose Funeral Home has been entrusted with her care and arrangements, which will be held Thursday, October 17th, 2024, with visitation starting at 12:30 pm followed by Pastor Rob Lowrey officiating a service at 2:30 pm.
