Linda Jean Roudebush

Linda Jean (Griffin) Roudebush, 84, was born on a snowy Christmas Eve in 1940 to Thomas and Neva (McMullen) Griffin. The last surviving among her siblings, Linda spent the majority of her life in Anderson, Indiana, surrounded by family and friends. On October 10, 1970, Linda married the love of her life, Ron Roudebush. Ron and Linda met while working together at Delco Remy, where Linda would eventually retire. During their decades of time together in retirement as empty-nesters, Linda and Ron cherished being surrounded by nature during their daily walks. Going out to breakfast together was an important part of each day, and Linda made many special connections and friendships at so many of the restaurants she and Ron frequented. They were both looking forward to celebrating 55 years of marriage later this year. As a loving and proud mom to Joe, Ronnie, Sherrie, Scott, and Jeremy, Linda was their biggest supporter and ultimate encourager. When not working or taking care of her family, Linda loved spending time in Brown County, Indiana, and was an avid gardener and accomplished artist, winning several awards for her paintings. Linda took her final breath at Holland Hospital in Holland, Michigan, on July 31, 2025, with Ron holding her hand. Preceded in death by her parents, siblings (Sherrie Griffin, Tom Griffin, and RuthAnn Birch), and two of her children (Sherrie McQueary and Joe Fisher), Linda is survived by her husband, Ron, and her children, Ronnie Fisher (Rosa), Scott Roudebush (Laura), and Jeremy Roudebush (Jennifer). She also leaves behind ten adoring grandchildren–Brendon Fisher, Zachry Fisher, Jake Fisher, Jared Fisher (Raena), Bridget Fisher, Josh McQueary, Justin McQueary (Taryn), Sarah Roudebush, Kate Roudebush, and Joe Roudebush–as well as five great-grandchildren–Jacob Fisher, Joseph Fisher, Lincoln Fisher, Keyan McQueary, and Avaya McQueary–and many other family members and friends. Linda’s life will be celebrated on Thursday, August 7, 2025, with a service at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home in Anderson, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 12:00 - 1:00 p.m. with the service immediately following. Cremation will follow at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Brown County Art Guild in Linda’s memory. While we never feel like we have enough time with those we love, we are all so grateful to have had so many years with such a loving, sassy, caring, and devoted wife, mom, mother-in-law, grandma, great-grandma, and friend. Her legacy will live on in those she loved, and she will be incredibly missed.
