Pendleton - Leah G. ''Jerry'' Clouser Sides, 87, Pendleton, died January 11, 2007 at St. Johns Health System, Anderson Indiana after an extended illness. She was born September 23, 1919 in Anderson, Indiana, and resided in Pendleton. She was a resident of this area for most of her life. Jerry retired from Guide Lamp Division of General Motors in 1983 after 29 years as an executive secretary. She was a member of Grandview Church of the Brethren. She was past matron of the Broadway Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star #591, past Royal Matron of Amarantha, past president of ETA Chapter, Alpha Omega Sorority and was past chairman of the Eastern Area of Indiana Hospital Health Auxiliary. She was a Pink Lady at Community Hospital since 1982. She is survived by her husband whom she married September 7, 1991, Walter H. Sides; step-sons, James Dale & wife Teresa Sides and Ronald & wife Faye Sides of Albion; two step-daughters, Susan & husband Dennis Seal of Pendleton and Debra & husband Dennis Likens of Chesterfield; grandchildren, Katrina Seal & fiance Justin Hammans, Wesley Brinkley, Zachary & wife Kendra Seal, Matthew Seal, Tony & wife Andrea Briner, Angie & husband Tim Collis, Judy Briner, Jodi and her children Austin and Grace, Jamie Sides and Josh Boling; great grandchildren, Megan Sides, McKinzie Sides, Nicholas Hammans, Patrik Seal, Isaac Seal, CJ Briner, Tim Collis, Jake Collis, Skyler Perry and Dalton Shirks; aunt, Esther Stoops of Anderson; special cousin, Arthur & wife Opal Watts of Bradenton, Florida; special nephew, Bruce R. & wife Susan Clouser of Plano, Texas; special niece, Sara Clouser; sisters-in-law, Hester & husband Lester Metzger of Lapel, Ethel Jameson of Pendleton,Eunice & husband Lester Filbrun of Lapel and Jessie Sides of Covington; brothers-in-law, Joe & wife Essie Sides of Anderson, Harley Sides of Marion, Emmett Brubaker of VA, and Oliver & wife Ina Sides of Houston, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Wayne E. Bookout who passed away in March of 1982; her parents, Marvin & Leotha Stoops Clouser; brother, John A. & wife Helen Clouser; sisters-in-law, Ruth & husband Dorman Hudson and Florence Brubaker; and brothers-in-law, Merle Jameson and Lester Sides. Services will be Monday, January 15, 2007 at 11:30 AM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, South Chapel, with Pastor Gary Yoder officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson.
