George Thomas Kline

George Thomas "Tom" Kline, 72, of Anderson, made his transition to eternal life on December 20, 2015, at Countryside Manor Health and Living Community Anderson, IN after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Tom was born on September 25, 1943, in Anderson, IN, the son of Floyd A. Kline Sr. and Lora (Weatherford) Kline. He spent his entire life in Anderson, IN. Tom graduated from Anderson High School as a proud Indian with the class of 1963. He retired from Delco Remy after 30 years of service. He was a proud member and served on the Executive Board of the U.A.W. 663. He was a family man who was a devoted husband, brother, and uncle. He knew "no" strangers and was a friend to all he met. He was an avid Anderson Indian Fan all his life. He enjoyed all sports. Indy Car racing brought a huge smile to his face each year. All motor sports were of interest to Tom. He was passionate about IU basketball, Los Angeles Dodgers, Golf, and the Indianapolis Colts. Tom had a special love of his yorkies who were at his side all day and night. Tom was a member of the Ovid Masonic Lodge F. & A. M. 164. and a member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Indianapolis. Those left to honor his memory are his wife, Wanda (Hardy) Kline of Anderson, IN whom he married on July 24th, 1971. He is also survived by the following family members: brothers Floyd (Carol) Kline of Carmel, and Keith (Joanne) Kline of Anderson; sisters, Marilyn Jackson of Anderson, Carolyn (Richard) Miller of Sanford, FL, and Mabel Cox of Anderson; step mother- in- law Lois Hardy of Daleville; brother-in-law L. Bruce (Cheryl) Hardy of Pendleton; step sister-in-law Linda (Dick) Watson of Daleville; nieces and nephews, Kathy (Mark) Cawley of Spring Hill, TN, Jane (Tom) Farr of Carmel, Jim (Sheryl) Kline of Fishers, Cindy Arvai of Sanford Sanford, FL, Gary Patton of Anderson, Rick (Cindy) Patton of Jacksonville, FL, Rene (Chris) Jones of Kokomo, Bruce (Stephanie) Patton of Chelsea, MI, Stephanie Kline of Anderson, Jeffrey (Lorie) of Anderson, Brad (Karie) Kline of Fishers, Paige Warriner and Tricia Warriner of Orlando, FL, Marly (Chris) Hardy Snyder of Pendleton, Abby (John) Hardy Vo of Noblesville; step- nephews; Brent Watson and Brandon Watson of Daleville, Randy Shepherd of Columbus, OH; several great and great-great nieces and nephews; and special great nephews Bishop & Beckett Hardy-Snyder of Pendleton with whom he spent a great deal of time. He was preceded in death by his parents; twin sister Georgeanna Mae (Kline) Warriner; brothers-in law Earl Jackson and Jim Cox, and sister-in-law Marjorie Kline. Words cannot express our appreciation for the loving care Tom and Wanda received from the entire staff of Countryside Manor Health and Living Community. They made this final journey in Tom and Wanda's life bearable with their constant support and devotion. A celebration of Tom's life will be held at 10:30a.m. on Tuesday, December 29, at Anderson Church of the Brethren, Anderson, with Pastor Spencer Spaulding, officiating. Burial will take place in the Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery, Anderson, IN. Friends and Family may call from 4 to 8pm, Monday, December 28, at Robert Loose Funeral Homes, and Crematory, Anderson, IN, where Masonic Rites will be performed at 7pm, by the Ovid Masonic Lodge, F.
