Ola P. Bilbrey

Anderson - Ola P. Phillips Bilbrey, 91, Anderson, went home to be with the Lord Jesus on May 6, 2010 from Millers Merry Manor-Chesterfield. She was born December 30, 1918 in Monterey, Tennessee, and resided in Anderson most of her life. Ola retired from General Motors after more than 30 years of service. She was a member of the Full Gospel Temple of Muncie and Faith Assembly Church in Anderson. She enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, gardening, traveling, reading, studying the Bible and being a prayer warrior. Her intimate relationship with the Lord radiated through her to all she knew. Her legacy of faith and prayer will guide her family for generations to come. She is survived by her two daughters, Juanita Ed Wilson and Debbie Doug Romine; two sons, Benny Mary Bilbrey and J.R. Terri Bilbrey; family friend, Tara Harrington; brothers-in-law, Owen Juanita Bilbrey; sisters-in-law, Sally Fred Vanbuskirk and Leatha Phillips; grandchildren, Nicole Myers, Angie Dave Claypool, Greg Tina Wilson, LouAnn John Mason, Sandy Terry Richie, Betty Kevin Kirtley, Tammy Jay Terry, Tony Amy Bilbrey, Marcus Becky Bilbrey, Chad Ila Ellingwood, Stacy Duane Harmon and Shelly Bob Day, Jessica Ulm, Annie Goodwin, Gary Goodwin, Tina Garry Wilmoth, Brenda Avalon Hendricks, Terry JoEllen Couch, Ann Taylor and Dee Johnston; 39 great grandchildren; 22 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Barton Bilbrey who passed away May 5, 2000; parents, Charlie & Pearlie Ford Phillips; a loving son, Ronnie Bilbrey; infant daughter, Vivian and siblings, Dow Phillips, Gracie Wilson, Perry Phillips and Audie Mae Bilbrey. The family wishes to thank the entire staff at Miller's Merry Manor, Chesterfield, for their loving care and concern. Visitation will be from 2-6:00 PM on Sunday, May 9, 2010 at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel; 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson and one hour prior to the service. Services will be Monday, May 10, 2010 at 2:30 PM, at the funeral home's south chapel, with Pastor Denny Helton and Pastor Walt Weaver officiating.
