Nick Adam Wilson

Rev. Nick Adam Wilson, 53, passed away peacefully into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior surrounded by his family on April 17, 2024. He was born on January 15, 1971, in Lawrenceburg, Indiana, the son of Brownlow and Constance Wilson nee' Stutes. Nick graduated from South Dearborn High School with the class of 1989. He then went to Franklin College where he met the love of his life, Brenda K. Brickey. The two were married in Bluffton, Indiana, on June 8, 1991, and he graduated from Franklin College in 1993. In the years following marriage and graduation, they were blessed with their three children. When the children were little, Nick was a stay-at-home dad. In the early 2010s, he started pursing education to prepare for a call to ministry through the Wesleyan FLAME program. He served as a youth pastor at Fall Creek Wesleyan Church in Fishers, and was the lead pastor at Beals Wesleyan Church in Beals, Maine. While living in Beals, Nick was a substitute teacher and assistant baseball coach for Jonesport-Beals High School. Nick and his family then returned to Indiana in 2020, and was the youth pastor at United Wesleyan Church in Anderson at the time of his death. Nick was a passionate Cincinnati Reds and Bengals fan, liked to watch IU basketball and baseball, loved to cook and experiment with different recipes, and was very supportive of his children's activities. He was known for being hilarious, creative, and an out-of-the-box thinker. Nick will be greatly missed by his church family and friends, especially his youth group students. Nick is survived by his loving wife of 32 years, Brenda Wilson; and children, Brooke (Alex) Hurt, Luke Wilson, and Lindsey Wilson. Also, surviving are his aunts, Ruth Stutes and Marilyn Altenbach; siblings, Lee (Tammy) Wilson, Brian (Shannon) Wilson, and Peggy Teipen; brother-in-law, Doyle Brickey; nieces and nephews, Kyrsten Wilson, Autumn and Alex Brickey, Ashley Teipen, and Eli, Alexis, and David Wilson, and a large extended family on both Nick and Brenda's side. He was preceded in death by his parents, and brother-in-law, Jeff Teipen. Visitation will be held Friday, April 19, 2024, 4:00 pm - 7:00 pm at United Wesleyan Church, 2233 S. Central Way, Anderson, IN. Services will be Saturday, April 20, 2024, 10:30 am at the church with Revs. Matthew Hines, Joe Jackson, and Jeremy Armiger officiating.
