Nancy Tipton

Nancy Tipton, 70, passed away Wednesday morning, April 16, 2025, after fighting a long-term illness. Nancy was born on August 31st, 1954 in Muncie, IN to Otis Hook and Zelma (Dietz) Trueblood. She attended Daleville High School and went on to marry her husband, Michael Tipton, on October 6th, 1972. After marriage, they went on to raise their family with three daughters and were long term residents of Lapel and Anderson. Over her career, Nancy worked at Pizza Hut for over 20 years and then later at GTI in Anderson. Nancy enjoyed many hobbies during her life, including visiting the casino, going to Bingo, playing card games and Yahtzee, and just spending time with her family. That said, some of her absolute favorite things were hoarding socks, sneaking snacks, collecting Buckee’s shirts, cheating on the card games that she didn’t remember how to play, terrorizing her grandkids for one thing or another, watching her great grandkids and their antics and just overall being the best wife, mom and meme to all. There was always something her mischievous self was up to, and her family would have it no other way. After the passing of her husband of over 50 years in January 2025, Nancy decided to move to Lakeland. Florida to live with her oldest daughter, April, and her husband Brad. During the short three months she was there, Nancy got to live life to the fullest doing everything from visiting amusement parks, going on a cruise, celebrating at the strawberry festival and getting sweets at the Florida State Fair. Survivors include daughters, April Mavis (Brad) Lakeland, FL, Jody Moll (Jason), Warner Robins, GA and Jessica Olech (Ryan), Whitsett, NC; 11 grandchildren, Amanda Miller, Martin Mavis, Kaleigh Craft, Taylor Moll, Jacob Mavis, Shelby Gandy, Alyssa Mavis, Sarah Diaz, Travis Moll, Hunter Olech and Emmalyn Olech; 13 great-grandchildren; sisters Kay Stickney Valentine (James), Anderson IN, Virginia (Phil) Thompson, Richmond IN; brothers Randy (Debbie) Nichols, Daleville IN and Bruce (Kathy) Nichols, Shipshewana IN; Sister-in-law Dolores Lipscomb (Companion-Clarke Payne), Muncie IN; Father-in-law Carrol Winston Tipton, Muncie IN and several nieces & nephews. Nancy was preceded in death by her parents, Otis and Betty Hook, Zelma and Harold Trueblood; brother Lonnie Hook; husband Michael Tipton; and son, Michael Shane Tipton. Calling hours are Saturday, April 26th, 2025, from 11am-1pm, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W 53rd St. Anderson, IN. Services will follow at 1pm, with a graveside burial at East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson, IN.
