Molly Robinson

Molly Robinson, 91, of Anderson, passed away peacefully on her late husband's birthday, July 5, 2014 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. She was born on April 7, 1923 in Saltaire, Yorkshire, England and resided in Anderson. On May 3, 1947 Molly married Tom Robinson. They immigrated to America in 1959 with 4 children, and a young sister Ann. After settling in Anderson, they increased their family in 1962 with the addition of a daughter, Karen. The family prospered, and Molly and Tom were able to afford many trips back to their homeland, to visit friends and family, but were always happy to be back in the USA with many, many new friends and an increased family. She was a member of English War Bride Club, and The Social Service Club, she was an avid knitter, sharing her skills with others. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. Molly is survived by her loving children, Beverley (Chuck) Esarey, John (Luanna) Robinson, Colin (Darlene) Robinson all of Anderson, June (Dwight) Ray of Decatur, AL, Karen Robinson of Lake Wylie, SC, siblings, Ann (Jack) Larimore of Anderson, Marie (David) Moncaster, Harry (Liz) Sheldon of England; grandchildren, London Nelson, Mike (Carissa) Leslie, Leslie (Eric) Johnson, Heather Robinson, John (Brittany) Robinson II, Kyle (Dakota) Robinson, Dana (Steve) Rampley, Sarah (Derrick) Orr, Laura (Eric) Tucker, Evan Sidwell, and Bryanne Sidwell; nephews Elmer (Debbie) Borders, and Doug (Sharon) Borders; 12 great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews in England. She was preceded in death by her husband, Tom Robinson, sister, Dorothy Moffett, brother-in-law, Elmer Borders. The family would like to give a special thanks to the staff at Bethany Pointe Health Campus, Miller's Merry Manor in Middletown, St. Vincent's Anderson 6 South, St. Vincent's Hospice, and the staff at Robert D. Loose Funeral Home for their loving care. Visitation will be held Wednesday, July 9, 2014 4:00 pm - 6:30 pm at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd St. Anderson, Indiana. Services will be at 6:30 pm Wednesday, July 9, 2014, at the funeral home. Cremation will take place, and Tom and Molly's ashes will be scattered in the English Countryside.
