Anderson - Mary Elizabeth James Cox, 65, of Anderson, went to meet the Lord on February 27, 2009 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer. Born December 21, 1942 in Atlanta, Georgia, the daughter of Doyle Haskett and Nellie Price. Retired from Target, Mary and her husband, William Porky James, moved to Florence, Indiana early summer of 2000 to enjoy "slow time." She enjoyed relaxing, watching birds and wildlife, needle point, spending time with friends and Diet Coke. They recently returned to Anderson in October 2008 to enjoy time with her children and grandchildren as family was important to her. She is survived by her husband, William T. Porky James, of Anderson, whom she married on April 26, 1990. Her four children, Timothy E. Cox, Toby G. Cox and wife Margaret, Dobie L. Cox and wife Brenda and Jennifer L. Cox and her fiancee Isaac Beeson. Father, Doyle Haskett friend Fran Schuyler. Two step-daughters, Stacey Alfrey and husband Charles and Haley James. A brother Robert Haskett wife Elaine. Aunts, uncles and several cousins. Father and mother-in-law, Clyde and Nellie James. Eleven grandchildren, Jeffery friend Alicia, Shane friend Jesi, Kent, Abigail, Sarah, Hannah, Jacob, Eric, Shelby and Evan Cox and one great granddaughter Ashli Cox. Five nieces and nephews, Misty Merryman, friend Charles, Robert Smith, Catherine Armstrong husband Michael, Robert Haskett wife Sonia and Brian Haskett and several great nieces and nephews. She was also survived by several lifetime friends. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel at 11:30 AM, Tuesday, March 3, 2009 with Pastor Carl Lamb officiating. Burial will be at Pleasant Walk Cemetery.
