Anderson - Marguerite L. Cox McCaslin, 85, Anderson, died July 31, 2005 at Bethany Pointe Health Campus-Anderson after an extended illness. She was born October 15, 1919 in Miami County, Indiana, and resided in Anderson. She moved to Anderson from Indianapolis in 1975. She retired from teaching in 1975 from Washington Township Elementary Schools of Indianapolis after 34 years of service. She received her Teaching License in 1939 and received her Bachelors of Science Degree from Indiana University in 1946. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Anderson. She was also a member of the Alpha Chi Omega Sorority; P.E.O.- D.W. Anderson Chapter; Ladies of Kiwanis; 20th Century Club; she was a 50 year member of the Alpha Chi Omega Bridge Club and the Crossroads Guild both of Indianapolis. She had a great love for children, teaching, playing golf and bridge. She had a fabulous memory and never forgot a face. She is survived by her husband: Raymond Earl ''Mac'' McCaslin of Anderson. Son: Michael David McCaslin of Anderson. Sister: Bernice Swank of Conroe, Texas. Brother: Jud and wife Mary Alice Cox of Peru. Nieces and Nephews: Nancy Harris of Conroe, Texas; Philip and wife Linda Swank of Anderson; Annie Swank of Houston, Texas; Jeff McCaslin of Walnut Creek, California; Sharon Hughes - Traverse City, Michigan; Bonnie McCaslin of Empire, Michigan. Several Great Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents: Festus L. & Effie Mae Stoner Cox. Daughter: Marta Ann McCaslin who died in 1952. Nephews: Rick Swank and Hal Harris. A Memorial Service will be Friday, August 5, 2005 at 1:00 PM, at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes and Crematory - South Chapel, 200 West 53rd Street, Anderson, IN, with Dr. Derek Weber officiating. A ?Celebration Of Life? immediately following the service at the Community Room located in the Carriage House of the South Chapel. Cremation will take place. Visitation will be from 11-1:00 PM on August 5, 2005 at funeral home, south chapel. The P.E.O. Sorority will hold a special memorial service at their first fall meeting.
