Linda Marie Post

Linda Marie Post, 64, of Anderson, passed away on March 9, 2025, at Ascension St. Vincent Hospital in Anderson, IN. She was born on August 25, 1960, in Atwater, California, where her father was stationed in the United States Air Force. While her father was in the military, Linda had the opportunity to travel across the country, living in both California and Massachusetts. The family moved to Anderson in 1968 when her father retired from the USAF, and Linda remained there until her passing. Linda attended Leach School and graduated as the salutatorian of Frankton High School class of 1979. She went on to obtain her BA at Ball State University in Muncie, IN. After graduating from college Linda, worked as a paralegal for the Davisson & Davisson Law Firm. Linda later worked for Easterseals Crossroads as a vocational rehabilitation instructor and Ivy Tech Community College in Disability Support Services where she tutored and advocated for students with disabilities. Linda was a member of South Meridian Church of God, where she sang in the choir, served on the hospitality team, and a leader of the Welcoming team. Linda is survived by her loving spouse of 40 years, Walter Post of Anderson, IN; stepdaughters Shannon Winkle of Spencer, IN; Cherlynn (Christopher) LeCroy of Pensacola, FL; and Andrea (Troy) Countryman of Melbourne, FL. She is also survived by her mother, Barbara Browning of Fishers, IN; siblings Jana (Browning) Adams of Roseville, CA; David Browning (Pam) of Fishers, IN; and Michael Browning (Susan) of Georgetown, CA. Her cherished grandchildren include Gabrielle and Emily Baca; Edward, Maren, and Sophia Winkle; Gunnar Hecker; Andrew and Madeline LeCroy; and Cameron, Oliver, and Drew Countryman. Linda is also survived by her aunts Darlene Browning (Frankton, IN), Lois Hackett (Modesto, CA), and Nancy Varner (Keizer, OR), uncle Jack Petersen (Sonora, CA) along with many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family, beloved friends, and her furry best friend, “Bandit.” She was preceded in death by her father, Richard Browning. A celebration of Linda's life will be held on Saturday, March 15, 2025, at South Meridian Church of God in Anderson, IN.
