Doris Crane

Anderson - Doris Crane, of Anderson, died Saturday, June 18, 2011 at St. Johnï¿½s Health Center in Anderson, following a brief illness. She was born in Anderson, IN, the daughter of the late John and Verna Mae Turner Robinson. She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, William ï¿½Billï¿½ Crane. She retired from Guide after 40 years of service and went on to being a Floral Arranger and treated many young couples to the beauty that she created. Doris was a greeter and charter member of Faith Assembly of God. She spent much of her life taking care of others. She was also known for her many wonderful pies and treasures that came forth from her kitchen and her heart. She is survived by her daughter, Judy VanHorn of Muncie; granddaughter and great grandson, Marlene and Justin Bishop of Kentucky; grandson, Mark Bishop of Kentucky; sister-in-law, Lula Robinson of Anderson; nieces, Pattie Melvin Fleenor of Kokomo, Beverly Robinson of Florida, Linda Kay Meyers of Washington, & Gloria Love of Austin; nephews, Chris Fleenor of Indianapolis, Nate Love of Austin, Steve Robinson of Washington and Mike Robinson of Washington. She also had many adopted children that she loved and held dear; Paul and Shirley Furrow, Karen and Joseph Williams & family, Jason and Sarah Furrow & family, Bruce Donham Family, Mark and Sharon Frazer & family, Walt and Renee Weaver & family, Larry and Helen Durham & family, Gerald and Geraldine Sheets & family, Darlene Townsend & family, Mary Robins & family, Mary Phillips & family, Neal and Nina Krisher & family, John and PamWorthington & girls, Russell and Vicki Hiatt & family, Gary and Donna Allison & family, Gary and Susan Landis & family, Ken and Lynn Culp & family, Mike and Heather Larson & family, Maurice and Nancy Morgan & Family, Caroline and Denny Darr, DeWayne and Bonnie Robinette & family, Tina and Chris Byer & family, Gary and Bobette Hart & family, John and Hope Newby & family, Mike Imhof, Joyce Bond, Lou and Garland Shelton and many other Church Family and Friends. Visitation will be from 4-8 PM Tuesday, June 21, 2011 at the Robert D. Loose Funeral Home, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. Services will be at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, June 22, 2011 at the funeral home, with Pastors Paul Furrow and Walt Weaver officiating.
