David Lee Wright

David Lee Wright, of Pendleton, entered his heavenly home August 28, 2021, after a long battle with ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). He was born April 19, 1962, to Bill and Phyllis (Ohler) Wright in Anderson, IN. David graduated from Pendleton Heights High School in 1980. Prior to his illness, he worked as a group leader for the Tsuda USA Corporation in Greenfield, IN. He will be remembered for his smile and laughter, the way he always put family first and his eagerness to help anyone at any time and any way. David loved boating, camping, traveling and basically anything outdoors. You could always find family activities when you came to the Wright house. David at the grill and Corinne preparing side dishes with lots of fun activities such as volleyball, cornhole, croquet, or a dip in the pool. The welcome mat was (is) always out. David is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Corinne; their children, Danielle (Will) Clinkscales, Delilah (Brian) Wolverton, Derek (Lauren Rose) Wright, and Sarah Jared; grandson, Evan Jared; and his loving fur-baby companion, Shadow. Also surviving are his parents, Bill and Phyllis Wright; sister, Sharon (Vince) Nyboer; his in-laws, Tony and Doris Moss and Shirley Alexander, Theresa (Steve) Best, Greg (Julie) Alexander, Toni (Jeff) Schuck, Todd (Kyle) Alexander, Tim (Angel) Alexander, Charisse (Kevin) Sommers, and Steve (Dean) Moss; and several nieces and nephews, as well as extended family. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; his father-in-law, Donald L. Alexander; sister-in-law, Michal Bell; brother-in-law, Gregg Moss; and nieces, Sandi Best and Amie Alexander. The family would like to thank each and every person who helped during this difficult battle with ALS whether it be food, gift cards, assistance at the house; please know it was very much appreciated. There will be a celebration of life service at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd Street, Anderson, IN 46013, on Wednesday, September 1, 2021, at 6:00 p.m. with Rev. Greg Alexander officiating. Visitation will be from 2:00 p.m. until the time of the service on Wednesday.
