Cody Andrew Buck

With broken hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved son, Cody Andrew Buck, age 35. Cody passed away peacefully on September 1, 2025. Cody was born on August 19, 1990, in Anderson, IN, to Costello Buck, Jr. and Carol Harless. Cody attended and graduated from Pendleton Heights High School, and his last place of employment was St. Vincent’s Hospital in the Housekeeping Department. Some of Cody’s favorite things were fishing, watching some of his favorite shows and movies, like Duck Dynasty & Tombstone. He often would quote to his Dad something that Uncle Si from Duck Dynasty would always say. He liked going to flea markets and local racetracks and watching NASCAR. His favorite food was a good Tenderloin. Cody has struggled over the years from complications from Type 1 Diabetes, but, we know he is now rejoicing with beloved passed family and in the hands of the Lord and will suffer no more. Cody was baptized by Charles Dillon on July 19, 2015. Cody is survived by his dad and bonus mom, Costello & Denise Buck; his mom and bonus dad, Carol and Dave Harless; siblings, Brooke Schafer (husband JJ), Alexis Buck, and Donovan Harless (girlfriend Madison Richardson); and grandparents, Bill and Debbie Pierce, Papaw Ron Mayes and Mamaw Cathy Miles. Cody had four awesome nephews that he adored, Johnny, Phoenix, Raurri, and Ro’Moni. Cody had lots of aunts & uncles including, April Buck who provided lots of nurturing and support throughout Cody’s lifetime, Elizabeth Buck, Stacy Carrico, Melissa (Brad) Williams, Leeann (Jeff) Whipple, Diane Hinton, Don Clark, Donna (Chase) Hacker, Dan (Tracy) Hinton, Bret (Sue) Miles, and Bret (Michelle) Cook, and lots of loving cousins, great aunts, great uncles, and friends. Cody was preceded in death by his Papaw, Costello Buck, Sr.; Mamaw MooMoo, Gloria Mayes; grandparents, Dave and Barb Harless; Great Granny Buck and Great Grandpa Oakley Buck; aunt, Lisa Pinner; Grandma Paula Chapin, Great Grandma and Grandpa Wendell and Juanita Chapin, and great aunt, Doris. The family wishes to thank all of the wonderful and caring nurses and doctors that have provided care for Cody over the years, especially the ICU department at Community Hospital in Anderson. The family also wishes to thank all of their extended families and friends for the unwavering support. Visitation will be on Saturday, September 6, 2025, 11:00 am to 12:00pm, at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 W. 53rd St., Anderson, IN.
