Betty Johnson Passwater

Anderson - Betty J. Johnson Passwater, 73, Anderson, died Saturday, February 5, 2005 at the residence of her daughter, following an extended illness due to complications of Parkinson's Disease. She was born June 28, 1931, in Alexandria, moved to Anderson where she lived most of her adult life, moved to Auburndale, Florida after retirement and back to Anderson four years ago. She retired 1982 as the Supervisor of Plant 7 at Delco Remy, following 30 years of service. After retirement and moving to Florida, she was a home health caregiver for 10 years. She was a 1949 graduate of Alexandria High School. She was named, ''1981 Boss of the Year'', by the American Business Women's Assoc. She loved to care for her family and loved ones. For all those who knew and loved her, she was a true angel on earth. She is survived by her her husband Raymond Passwater of Anderson, whom she married June 27, 1953 in Alexandria. Two children; Tara Jo King and husband Tony of Anderson and Danny Ray Passwater and wife Patricia of Anderson. Two Brothers: C. Fred Johnson & wife Norma of Leesburg, Florida and Raymond Max Johnson & wife Carol of Orestes. Brother-in-law: Dale Baker of Anderson. Seven Grandchildren: Kimberly Engle; Samantha Passwater; Melissa King & husband Jason Rigdon; Dorothy King & husband Josh Smith; Dustin Kirkwood; Ben Kirkwood & Patrick Kirkwood all of Anderson. Three Great grandchildren: Jackson Burns; Kaitlyn Burton & Victoria Burton all of Anderson. Several Nieces & Nephews. She was preceded by her parents; Alva Robert and Leatha Maude Howerton Johnson. One Sister: Beatrice Baker of Anderson who also died on Saturday, Feb 5, 2005. Six Brothers: Robert Lee Johnson; Harry Johnson; Claude Johnson; Harley Paul Johnson; Clyde Johnson; & Clayton Johnson. Private Memorial Services have been held and cremation will follow. There will be no visitation.
