Anderson ? On Sunday, February 11, 2007, an angel fulfilled her earthly duties and returned to her heavenly home to glorify our Lord. Those of you who knew Betty Jean Fenwick were well aware she walked amongst us with wings and a halo. Betty Jean was like Snow White to the animals she encountered. She loved, fed and sheltered all of God?s little creatures. Our Father blessed her with the gift of always listening with a loving heart and an open mind. Whenever one of her loved ones began to stray from His path, she would spread her beautiful wings, gather us in, and guide us back to walk with the Lord. She was a devoted and lifelong member of Christ Lutheran Church where you could find her every Sunday morning come rain or shine. It gave her great pleasure to have all of her grandchildren seated around her in church. Betty was a devoted fan of Anderson High School basketball. She attended every game to cheer on her Indians. She was also a huge Indianapolis Colts fan and we all are thrilled that she had the joy of seeing them win the Super Bowl! She was an invaluable friend and neighbor and the world is a better place for having been blessed by her existence. Betty will be greeted at the gates of Heaven by her mother, Clara Craig; father, Hillard Craig; sister, Maxine Craig; her beloved husband of 53 years, Wilbert ?Web? Fenwick and two dear friends, Ines Wilburn and Carolyn Heflin. Those left to honor and cherish her memory include her daughter and best friend, Cheryl Carper husband Tim, loving and devoted son, Joe Fenwick wife Sandy and son, Rick Fenwick wife Joni. Grandchildren include Lisa Padgett, Tara Stoner husband Brian, Rachel Landes, Jason Fenwick wife Jessica Mandi Quiroga husband Juan, Kayleigh Fenwick fiancé Tyler Muir, Rick Fenwick Jr. and 13 great grandchildren. Also surviving are three very special friends whom she loved and regarded as daughters, Diania Curless, Sharon Parker and Pam Bilbrey. Services will be Friday, February 16, 2007 at 2:30 PM at Robert D. Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, South Chapel; 200 W. 53rd Street; Anderson with Rev. Mark Whitsett officiating.
